Can you please tell me why Corey Hart, who currently owns the best batting average on the team is batting sixth in the Brewers line-up? Are you insane? Do you really think Bill Hall will hit 5 home runs every week and half? Really?!?!
Also, do you see this guy’s ugly face?
Okay, granted, Dave Bush is not that ugly, but notice the crowd of players around him and the disturbed look on his face. That’s because he is a horrible pitcher. He’s obnoxiously terrible, and completely over-hyped. Here’s a typical inning for Bush: the Brewers score 3 runs in the top half. Bush goes out and gives up 5 runs. Fin.
Yet, over and over and over again so-called fantasy experts like Will Harris, James Quintong, Matt Berry and the fucking King of Dave Bush over-hyping Eric Karabell tell everyone they know that this is the fucking year!!! No, not at all.
Of course, this year Dave Bush finds himself struggling for a spot in the rotation. My man Yovanni Gallardo is coming back from the DL, forcing the Brewers to select two pitchers from this group:
Carlos Villanueva: 1-1, 5 K, 4.76 ERA, 1.76 WHIP (5 BB)
Dave Bush: 0-2, 8K, 8.44 ERA, 1.87 WHIP (8 BB)
Manny Parra: 1-1, 11 K, 4.82 ERA, 1.29 (3 BB)
Hmm, so who you bounce from the rotation? DAVE BUSH, FOR GOD SAKES DAVE BUSH!!! The guy has pitched nearly 11 innings and has walked 8 BATTERS. Control hasn’t always been his issue, as we look at his innings pitched and hits the past three seasons.
2005: 136.1 IP, 142 H
2006: 210 IP, 201 H
2007: 186.1 IP, 217 H (and his BB increased!)
My point being, he is getting worse. Why then, Ned Yost, did you say this today about the starter’s situation?
“It’s not as easy as that,” said Yost. “Bush has got history to fall back on and is in the process of making some adjustments.”
ADJUSTMENTS?! Is he working on hitting more batters? Otherwise, the guy IS NOT GOING TO CHANGE. Why Ned, the guy should be in the bullpen (or pitching for the Cardinals).
“His stuff is good. It’s not like I can’t see any light at the end of the tunnel for Dave Bush.”
Oh really? His stuff is really that good? Opposing batters hit .290 against him last season! .290! This year they’re already hitting him to the tune of .300. That’s right, EVERY hitter who’s faced him is batting .300 against him.
There is a light at then end of the tunnel Ned, and you should be walking down this tunnel holding Dave Bush’s ineffective hand. That light will lead you to retirement.
corey hart is kind of a handsome, beardy giant. as opposed to dave bush, who just looks like a douchebag. look at that look his giving mike maddux, his pitching coach. what a prick. he’s like a healthy ben sheets minus the talent.
as for madduxes, if that espn mag article about greg holds any water, i can’t wait until he’s a pitching coach.
